Carmel Wine Tasting
Ok, we’ll admit it. We love Carmel wine tasting. So we are thrilled that there are at least 15 wine tasting rooms in Carmel by-the-Sea and we can walk to every one of them. When you stay at any of the charming hotels or inns in Carmel, you’ll be able to forget your car and walk to these tasting rooms too. Ahh. Can you say ‘Wine Tasting Carmel by the Sea!’
Carmel Wine Tasting
One of the things that we love about living right in the village of Carmel by the Sea, is that we can walk to all of the Carmel wine tasting rooms in town. With 16 or more, that gives us a lot of options! In addition to stopping by the tasting rooms to sample the selections, many of the Carmel wine tasting rooms hold special events throughout the year. And sometimes, the Carmel wineries get together to host multiple tastings.
River Road Wine Tasting Tours
In addition to visiting the Carmel wine tasting rooms in the village of Carmel, you can also follow the River Road Wine Trail. These dozen wine tasting rooms also feature Monterey wines. And many of these Carmel wineries also have tasting rooms in Carmel by-the-Sea. For example, the Scheid Vineyards winery is located at 1972 Hobson Avenue in Greenfield, California. Their winery is at the farthest end of the tasting rooms along the River Road Wine Tour. Scheid Vineyards has a tasting room at this location where you can also see the Monterey wine grapes and learn about their wine making. Scheid Vineyards also has a very popular wine tasting room in Carmel by the Sea. That wine room is on the southeast corner of 7th and San Carlos, just across the street from Nielsen’s Market.
The River Road Wine Trail offers Valentine wine tasting tours every February. What a great time to hire a limo and visit the wine tasting rooms along the trail. Purchase tickets ahead and enjoy wine and good food served at each wine tasting room along the trail.
