Description:

Welcome to Billy Brewer Painting.  I have been a licensed painting contractor for 40 years.  I am a native of Pacific Grove, California, so I have grown up around the beautiful homes and buildings on the Monterey Peninsula and I am familiar with the weather conditions and how those impact paint.

THE SECRET TO A QUALITY PAINTING EXPERIENCE

I believe that the secret to a quality, exterior paint job is in the preparation.  If you are looking for a speedy job, I'm probably not your guy.  But if you want someone who takes the time with pressure washing, repairing imperfections and applying your paint, then give me a call.  There are lots of folks who will recommend me, and you can read a few of their testimonials in the Comments section.  I always think it's better to hear from my customers rather than having me tell you how great my work is!

I like to use Benjamin Moore paint, particularly their top brand, Aura.  You'll get superior coverage that will look great and last for many years, or maybe until you just decide to change the color!  If you have sample color chips from another brand, that's ok.  Benjamin Moore can match them using their computerized matching system.

WHY I DON'T HIRE OUTSIDE CREWS TO DO MY WORK

I typically do my work with my long-time painting partner, Jerry.  Jerry is a native of Scotland, who found his way to Southern California and later served in the military and was stationed at Fort Ord.  I know plenty of other painting companies hire outside crews to do the work, but I prefer to rely on my own experience and Jerry's experience.  That way I can be sure you will get a quality job, every time.

WHO WE ARE WHEN WE AREN'T PAINTING

Billy Brewer surfing Aleutian Islands AlaskaBilly Brewer Surfing Lovers PointWhen I was growing up in Pacific Grove, my passion was surfing along the California Coast.  Many years ago I surfed one of the largest waves to come along Lovers' Point during a brewing storm and managed to become a bit of a surfing legend among the local surfers.  Jerry also is an avid surfer.  He used to ride the waves along the southern California coastline. Today, I still enjoy surfing our coastline as a hobby, while Jerry prefers the warmer waters around Cabo San Lucas.

My California Business License is: #725884.  Give me a call to set up a time to discuss your painting project.  And hey, if you want to talk about surfing or Scotland, that's ok, too!

Billy was referred to us by friends from Church of the Wayfarer. He was prompt in meeting with us and took the time to really look at our old, 2 story home when he was preparing his bid. We went to our friends’ home and noticed how meticulous their paint job was (which Billy had done) and we were especially glad to know that he does his own work, rather than hiring day workers to do the job for him. The pressure washing and prep work took a week – and that’s when we really realized how good Billy and Jerry are. Thanks to them, our 100 year old home will be around for years to come! We were completely changing the color of our home, and they did an amazing job. Billy and Jerry are also really nice people, so it was a pleasure having them work on our home. As the founders of ILoveCarmelCalifornia.com, we are happy to recommend them.
